The dream is to use AI to get started with a set theme .. something you can point the AI at (url, screenshot, etc) .. prompt it and get a first pass.

But the iteration step is tricky. More prompting? At that point I want to take over in a tool (PS, Illustrator) and get what I want. Or code.

What until it can work in layers, or generate native photoshop, illustrator files. Then we're all c̶o̶o̶k̶e̶d̶ unlocked for utopian "understand through diagrams" future (working on my ai optimism).

it was definitely unhinged. and apropos for someone drinking from the AI agent firehouse with 10 hoses going at once.

the problem that exists with this and with any software in general is that it's observable. (at least, not by default without specific tooling). chris-granger.com/2014/03/27/t... <- great discussion about this

but the big question. how to cajole these alien black boxes to do your will.

Covenant is really good. I snagged a copy from their online store. The art and iconography is really good.. normally, I don't like games with lots of mini-games -- but this one does well. And like all the greats, it ends too early and you want to do everything but can't.

One of the really interesting parts is it using a Chrome browser to click buttons, check if the button works and then fixing it in the code. You can even navigate to the site yourself on your container. Lots of great ideas

Notion is pretty good at this kind of thing. It's got a web clipper that can capture a URL (into a database) or capture the content of a page.

You've been dutifully training the AI hive-mind on Pelican SVGs with your blog posts. (llm "give me a joke about skynet"). Haha. :)

Haha. Thanks for reminding me why hacker news is both awesome and ranty at the same time.

What's example of an item flagged in a premortum?

Something like "double layer boards are difficult to produce" or "watch out for balance issues for reroll tokens?"

The best innovations have been non-trivial games like Wingspan and Pandemic that have introduced people (and their wallets) to the hobby. Kingdomino. HEAT.

Oh, that looks super fun! (Which means the sell sheet works. It caught my attention.)

This is what happens with some Private Equity companies. They buy a distressed company, extract out all of the valuable things (real estate, etc) then dump the whole bankruptcy on the unsuspecting public / shareholders.

This game is really hard to find. Your post got me intrigued but wasn't able to find it anywhere. They must not have made many copies.

Keep The Heroes Out is such an underrated game. Especially with the expansion that adds "recruits." They help balance the game and make it a tad bit longer with more deck building.

They have some good ones coming out soon. Skara Brae and The Anarchy (like Hadrian's wall).
