The Existential Corollary: As systems grow more complex and interconnected, the damage potential of maximum stupidity approaches infinity, creating the possibility of systemic or even existential risk.

The Blindness Corollary: Those operating at maximum stupidity are categorically unable to recognize their stupidity, creating a perfect feedback loop of ignorance.

The Asymmetry Corollary: While the upside of intelligence is bounded (there are limits to how much good a smart decision can create), the downside of stupidity is unbounded (there is no theoretical limit to how much damage a stupid decision can cause).

The Amplification Corollary: Stupid decisions compound exponentially rather than linearly, as each stupid action creates new opportunities for further stupid actions.

Maximum Stupidity is when the least competent have the most influence, creating an "ignorance-influence gap."

Stupid individuals cause losses to others while suffering losses themselves.

The Stupidity Potential is proportional to:

The Principle of Maximum Stupidity:
states that in any system where human decision-making occurs, the potential for damage is maximized when actors combine the highest degree of ignorance with the greatest capacity for action, creating an unbounded downside risk that approaches infinity.

This is one of the most unintentionally insulting academic articles I have ever read.

It opens with this gem of a line, and then it notes that men are less likely to talk to mental health providers. But it never manages to connect this assumption to that reaction.
