Another day for leftover lunacy. Today’s effort started by sautéing cremini mushrooms in some butter and oil with rosemary and thyme, then adding rotisserie chicken, mushroom ragout, peas, and some chicken stock.

Diving in! We shared a Bloody Mary, served with a spicy crusted chicken breast encased in a Jalapeño cornmeal waffle. Alongside, a hash brown waffle with eggs, bacon, cheese, and sour cream.

It’s always a thrill to convert weather-damaged trail back to a safe passage. In this case, the Palisades Fire & subsequent rains destroyed this spot. Two hours and four energetic volunteers later, we had a repaired segment.

I wonder is my (then) state of the art four function calculator from high school is in there.
That’s equivalent to $567 today (inflation adjusted). Of course, Moore’s Law would value it at less than a penny, but it was one shiny penny back then.

There are things that I’ve resigned myself to knowing I will never be able to do:
Properly fold the fitted sheet.
Successfully bake banana bread.
Fully overcome depression.
Write a full length novel.
But the things I can do are pretty damn awesome, & those in between are always worth striving for.
