For the next year, I am going to be bouncing around from place to place as I move from where I live now to different places looking for work.

Streaming is fun, and I'll still stream when I can, but ultimately it is my hobby. I want to invest more into it but when I am ready and able to do so.

I'll still go live a few times soon, potentially tonight! But I wanted to keep y'all that follow me in the loop.

I'll make sure I'm in the best place I can be in, and hopefully reflect that online! This ain't a goodbye, more of a "keep an eye out!"

Thanks for everything. 💜

A year later, I am now dotting my i's and crossing my t's as I am finishing my masters degree. This is some of the hardest work I've ever had to do in my life, and priority was on graduating, which is why I've been pretty absent.

I could say I'm almost at the end, but truthfully, I'm really not.

What's been shown is definitely breaking new ground for the Mariokart series, bridging the divide between cart racer and racing game closer together. It's also a better argument then charging 70 for ToTK when BoTW was at 60.

If anything, I'd only get the game as part of the bundle.

Its about the precedent it sets. While comparing it to other games might feel disingenuous, its still food for thought.

Unlike other $70/$80 games, which are usually deep, single player focused games, or multiplayers + content expansions, we are essentially hoping that MKW pays itself.

To put in perspective, this was the price of Mariokart 8 + its DLC, and then MK8DX + Booster. Yes its an almost decade old game now, but for those that had the switch and wanted Mariokart, a staple of the console, PLUS even MORE, they paid the full price.

Personally, I still have not been able to be convinced by Nintendo about why that price is reasonable.

Does it look fantastic? Absolutely.
Super fun and fresh? You bet.

But is it $80 worth? Not sure.

I like how the series has moved to a more orchestral sound to make it sound uniquely itself! I will say that even if Mariokart 8 got old, its music really was unmatched. Hoppefully MKWorld keeps up the trend.
