I thought that since I could make a roux, surely I could make tortillas from scratch. I was sorely mistaken and they came out like pancakes. Fueled by hunger and a couple of very strong margaritas, I loaded my shrimp fajita mix on nachos instead so I’m basically a chef now.

Fig tree update: some hungry bug decided to make a meal of some of the leaves. Hubs found info that leaves tend to only be eaten once because a chemical in them makes them undesirable. Nature is wild. Also I feel like I should name them. I’m thinking Gaia and Persephone. 🪴

Our sweet little Celestial fig trees have done so well the last couple of months! The greenhouse is currently too cold for us to want to risk keeping them in there, so they’re living in the utility room at the moment. #gardening #homesteading
