Nearly 70 years of experience watching this shit show. Animal rescuer helping all kinds neglected and abused by humans. Finds solace in nature, music, photography and reading. The Earth will be fine, current species not so much. Good luck America.
It’s pretty annoying when they try to rip apart your bear-proof garbage can and then dine on what is in the cheap regular can. But who can stay mad at this adorable mom and cubs. We think they were born last year. This makes the crazy world seem insignificant (at least somewhat).

Hate to see that but I captured part of this big guy on a trail cam the other night in North Jersey. We have lots of bears.

Everyone can make a difference.

This is Christopher before and after. He was dumped at a shelter. No name. Filthy, matted fur. Neglected. Unloved. We changed that.

Hours later his face shines, as do those of his rescuers.

This keeps me going, even in this dark time. One life at a time.

The simple beauty of nature found in my own figurative backyard gives me the strength to endure.

Most everything I read yesterday is awful. You know who doesn't care? Dogs! Happy rescue dogs. There is a lesson there.

Wallace, our rescued pig, wishes everyone a good day. He was found wandering city streets a couple of years ago.

The world might be awful but a smiling animal is good for the soul.

I'm new, not a poster and follow serious topics. The years haven't been easy and it's not getting better.

I have always coped thanks to nature and animals.

This is Friend (not food). We rescued her two years ago from becoming Thanksgiving dinner. She is a happy and very lucky turkey.
