I’d been asked to write a series on debuggers, where I’d build one and write about the hurdles, but the magazine was discontinued. I was allowed to publish what I wrote, and I think it’s a pretty fun story.

I was working on a debugger in Rust. For fun, I tried to debug the debugger with itself. It crashed because the main function disappeared. This is where I found it.
