And this doesn't even get into when they translated "underdog" as the R-slur during an episode focusing on Jonouchi's status as an underdog

I can have a bit of engagement bait, as a treat, right?

Beat Clair Obscur this weekend. Lovely game. I wasn't too keen on the disorienting exploration, but the combat was a lot of fun for me, even at its lowest point, and I really liked the ending :)

If there's space for it, I'd love to suggest Sunset over Imdahl, a 2005ish RPGMaker adventure game about traveling between different seasons of a besieged medieval city to prevent it from being ruined by the plague.

An original version of Judge Eyes, before Pierre Taki got removed out of the game following his arrest for drug posession

Less than 24 hours before the new year, I wrapped up my last video game of the year!

Finished Ys X. I had a great time with it! As with other modern Ys games, the characters are a joy, and I do like the direction they took combat with this one.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was my very first PS2 game. I don't think I've ever had as much pre-release hype for any game as much as I did for KH2. And boy did it end up delivering. What a game this is. One of these days. One of these days. I'm doing that level 1 critical run.

It's a somewhat unpopular opinion to rank this one higher than Lacrimosa of Dana, but I can't help it, I love this game. I especially love the setting of Balduq with its wild Norse pagan/Hundred Year War/Roman occupation lore mix. Also exploring is a joy, even if the city itself is a lil drab.

Dark Souls is fine. Elden Ring is fine. But goddamn I love Sekiro. Mastering its combat system and beating every boss after many many failures has truly never felt as good as in this game. Add on top of that this amazing dark fantasy Sengoku setting and it's just an all-around winner.

Look it's the one shmup I played, ever!

Zeroranger is just so, so cool. Even on its surface, it's just a really cool, stylish and fun shmup with a very forgiving continue system and amazing music. But the ending and how the gameplay reinforces its themes, really elevates it to something special.

Something in my life changed the moment Akira faces Odeo and I got to hear Megalomania for the first time. I was all in after that, and the game really delivers. The quality of the different chapters is all over the place, but when it's good, it's reaaal good. Kung Fu, Cowboy and Scifi are my favs.

Though I was a Battle Network kid ever since 2, it's Star Force that truly has my heart. I got so invested in the entire cast, including villains, who all got way more depth than the average BN villain ever did. I went hard for the whole trilogy.

Also here's where my love for drill hair started.

Starting with a banger. Ace Combat 7 was my introduction to the franchise after many instances of hearing how kino it was. And it is. The melodramatic cutscenes and comms chatter, the music, the arcade gameplay... It's just really good.

Stick with Trigger and you'll make it 🫡
