The other cross sales report i really like is a customer view. You create two baskets, the table view then displays all customers who have bought from basket 1 and how often, and how often from basket two. I highlight every customer who hasn't bought from basket 2.

This is how I display cross sell by product: You create a basket of products using the slicer then it calculates a cross sales ratio of how often any other product are included on the same invoice. Then you can chart it with highest to lowest ratio. More intuitive than a matrix IMO
