BTW this is the first structure of nitrogenase from methanogens and it's a supercool-super-complex 🤩 . Uncovering this structural organization gave us new insights into how these microbes control a central metabolic process.

It’s been an amazing learning experience especially with the anaerobic nature of the protein, diving deep discovering the structural asymmetry and a novel copper cluster functionally important in DPOR.
Great collaboration that helped us confidently answer some very important questions.
