The tragic mum is the woman who encouraged people to set fire to a hotel housing people seeking asylum. The implication from the law and order-loving Sun is that the government are meanies for banging her up for incitememt during a racist riot and arson attack.

I’ve decided that 2025 will be ‘A Year of Batch Cooking’. Please send your favourite recipes, especially vegetarian dishes. I’m particularly keen on hearing about people’s regional or family-specific recipes for Asian staples such as varieties of dhal, saag & rajma, ramen, sambal etc. Thanks!

A family walk on Christmas Eve in winter sun is today made poignant by a sense of the ebb & flow of life & death swirling all around us. The world spins on its axis at 1000mph, & orbits around the sun at 100,000kmph. Even when we think we are standing still, we are hurtling forward in time & space.
