If it was known for weeks then the Athletic Dept looks to have fumbled this badly unless they already have a high quality target identified. Very late to the coaching carousel and lotta top candidates off the board. Hope I'm wrong but if not prepared for this it could set the program back big time

Again.. advanced scouting from novice iPhone video gave no clear advantage compared to real coaching staffs sending other teams game video and playsheets to rivals.
OSU and others knew Stalions was an elite signal guy and started changing signs in '22. He was out in '23 and UM still rolled over opps

Signing your own autograph never should've been illegal as proven in the courts now.. not for Manziel or others. OSU shouldn't have had to vacate wins. Getting cash handouts from coaches/alumni was clearly illegal back then and those are real examples of ineligible players that should forfeit wins.

Harbaugh got hit for non-cooperation. The advanced scouting infraction was minor. Age old adage.. cover up was worse than the crime.

NCAA been on him since he stood up to their denying player rights. He got on a soapbox that players deserve to be paid and they were on him since. He won.. hence NIL

No ineligible players: The Committee on Infractions explained "Vacation of records is only in play when theres ineligible competition. That was not a factor present in this case" said Norman Bay, Chief Hearing Officer.

OSU players were ineligible b/c selfish ncaa rules denied player rights pre-NIL

No clear competitive advantage: Committee on Infractions chair Kay Norton: "In addition, the NCAA took very quick action once it was apprised of the possibility of these violations. And therefore, there was insufficient evidence in the record that the outcome of games was affected."

Every team legally had sign stealers.. advanced scouting with iPhone footage from novices across the stadium vs rival coaches sending each other game footage and play sheets is no clear advantage. On top of that that asst was fired before they played their hard games. Ran the table without dude 🤔
