Though if they're not covering it, ask your teacher how to effectively use payments on creditcards to build credit. Even on small purchases. Like my creditcard has a 1,000$ limit to keep me out of extreme debt, still useful for credit building.

Also I have discovered that getting your cook friends to make you low salt, lowered fat but TASTY meals for a month cuz you're too tired to cook much on your own, breaks the sugar/fast food/highly processed food addiction.
