say what you want about AVGN, he had quite a few cleverly written jokes. hell, go back and watch the other CA contributors. so many were objectively better at this shit than he was. I still think about the Todd in the Shadows grocery bag bit. he was surrounded by more talented people

It is so obvious what the line means. If two brothers grew up without parents and had the age difference that Hoskins and Leguizamo had of course it would make sense for Mario to have “brought him up.” Doug just wanted to make a gay incest joke and it’s nonsense. He’s bad at this.

There’s a bit he does in the Mario bros review where he sees a line where Luigi says “Mario brought me up” and tries to twist it into a montage implying they have a gay incestuous relationship and it makes no fucking sense.

go back and watch those reviews. watch the batman and robin one watch the super mario bros one. he does not make good and funny jokes. the only comedy comes from laughing at how bad he is. we were kids and we thought it was soooo funny to see a guy get that mad. grow up.

At this point it’s been so long that I think a lot of younger people just straight up don’t know the Change the Channel document exists and everything it says aside from seeing a few people allude to it. CA probably doesn’t even want to acknowledge its existence lol
