I've always been a big believer in a clean break. A major mistake I made this year was not cutting someone loose as soon as I had a reason to, because my therapist encouraged me to make it work. Well, she was wrong - the issues at the beginning were there at the end 😭

Made it to chapter 5 of this book. It's been on my list for awhile, and now seemed like the perfect time to read it. I think it's going to be a rare DNF for me. I can and do romanticize just about anything. But I'll never be in ecstasy over ordinary experiences because they're cheap. I don't 1/2

Since we're talking about Le Creuset, I made a divorce vision board years ago when I was dreaming of escaping my abuser. The idea of moving to a new home and replacing all my old cookware with Le Creuset in berry, peche, or shallot w/gold or iridescent knobs got me through some dark days.

The state of modern courtship deeply saddens me. Nearly all the men I've dated initiated the DTR conversation. I knew who was serious and who wanted something casual early on so I could decide what place - if any - they'd have in my life. Getting this far in the name of "just vibing" makes me ill.

There was a time when men could talk, joke with, dance, or sing a woman out of her panties. Now they can't even get to the next step via text.
