No matter how many Toy Story clones are there, Bands on the Run will be the most infamous to me. Based on a dead fad and worked on by college students a project they were making for the first time on a shoestring budget. Rebel Taxis video on the film is worth a watch and I highly recommend it.

Why does this song remind me of the intro to the One Piece (4Kids) English dub?

Tell can AI create a Leonardo Da Vinci caricature of Jennifer Lopez that looks like the Mona Lisa while also having an actual human touch in set art? I don’t think so

I’m glad your indie short got tons of attention. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for Trails for Miles. Also that sword design is just charming. It’s like Dave the Barbarian mixed with Cinamon from those Apple Jacks commercials and maybe Aku Aku from Crash Bandicoot too.

If you seen the episode of South Park about Michael Jackson, you would totally get what I’m saying.

This is pretty much the voice I associate with Classic Sonic I gotta be real here.

Is the guy that said Tom and Jerry (2021) is a masterpiece?

Imagine this cover but with Peter Pan, it would be even more cursed

Well at least people who have housing contracts that prohibit pet ownership will likely be into this

Maybe it could be like Aliens where Ellen Ripley works with a crew to take the xenomorph threat. Kind of like Samus here from the sounds of it. Pretty much a full circle moment with Alien homages in Metroid.

DK and Pauline in Banaza work because Donkey Kong is guardian that helps Pauline achieve her goals and learns to be a father figure. Think Sully and Boo in Monsters Inc or Ralph and Venelope in Wreck it Ralph. It’s dynamic that worked before and still works in Bananza.

Now that I think about it, James Cameron’s Avatar should be the basis for Samus and this sidekicks dynamic. One is used to these kinds of missions and worlds around them while the other is not that familiar with that stuff and learn off each other as the game progresses.

DK and Pauline in Donkey Kong Bananza have a strong dynamic but because the story was interesting in where it went. Pauline essentially has an arc and DK is a father like figure helps her achieve her goals and even face challenges together.

Jak in the first Jak and Daxter was mute but even then the duo had a solid dynamic. If there was to be remake J&D 1, giving Jak voice acting would be more seamless than you think. Jaks voice in the second and third games can apply to that notion as well.
November 14, 2025 at 6:57 PM
The problem is that the new character is a bumbling three stooges kind of man when it should be the opposite. If Samus were to give a sidekick there should be a solid dynamic. Something less like Tom and Jerry and more James Cameron’s Avatar would be a bit fit for Metroid and Prime especially.

The first act is the tutorial but it can be talkative. Not Sonic Boom or R&C 2016 levels of talkative but it could be more controlled. Samus did feel like she was going to speak and that could be interesting. She is basically the straight woman while the sidekick is a rookie learning the ropes.

No Johnathan! Beware the mines! Nooo! That was a Mega 64 reference by the way.

Being that Jack Black is a part of Tenacious D, this wouldn’t be out of place in one of their music videos. There’s also a Tropic Thunder vibe here since Jack Black is in that as well and there was a scene where the characters play Wii Sports.

If Yoshi were to speak, I hope it would just be grunts. John Bailey (Jeff the Land Shark), Chris Sanders (Stich), and Frank Welker (Abu) could be perfect for Yoshi. If they wanted something like the SMW cartoon Ben Dickson (Gonzo 2018) or Keith Ferguson (Bloo) could be perfect as well.

“One, chorus line of people dancing til they make us stop” Probably a little late but I couldn’t resist.

Why does that sound like a pizza from TMNT 87?
