That’s been my experience. I’ve encountered a small handful of actual transphobes in the wild but it’s like 50ish percent of my YouTube comment section. I’m pretty convinced that the internet has made people think that there are more transphobes than there actually are.

My experience with accommodations in schools and workplaces, is that they are actually very annoying and if you don’t need them they aren’t actually helpful, so people are trying to gatekeep access to mild inconveniences, that do actually materially benefit a small margin of people.

In my experience the accommodations are in and of themselves annoying and nobody who didn’t need them would use them. I’ve never had a school or instructor give me an accommodation that would have made anything easier for anyone who didn’t actually need it.

It’s super troubling how people are trying to frame disobeying an illegal order as something that the military shouldn’t do ranging to maybe sometimes it’s okay. The UCMJ is super clear; it’s unlawful to obey an unlawful order.
