I'm both deeply spiritual and trans, and I felt the need to put this together. There are many common examples of these dysfunctional behaviors, including gaslighting abuse victims, New Age cultural appropriation, and opposing lifesaving gender-affirming care because it's not "holistic" or "natural."

Jesus was a radical who stood with the most vulnerable and stigmatized members of society. He condemned the corruption of religious elites and the wealthy. A refugee as a child, he was a man of color murdered by authoritarian European keepers of the law.
