The fund is just a spreadsheet. US govt. literally keystrokes $ into existence when it spends. Even Greenspan admitted it: "There is nothing to prevent the Federal Government from creating as much money as it wants and paying it to somebody."

Govt. spends by keystroking numbers into bank accounts. No taxes involved. Taxes serve a few purposes, but paying for federal spending isn't one of them.

Oh, is that what it was? I thought it was a Verizon Fios issue --it kept saying I was offline, not connected to the internet, plus my VOIP landline was quite glitchy earlier.
