A quick shot of the goo material in action. I had fun figuring out how to build this and give it a believable and satisfying appearance. The opacity effect is created by using Fresnel nodes in the opacity and color. There's also a depth fade multiplied into the opacity to blend the meshes together.

Rigged this character using Advanced Skeleton in Maya. Did a simple little animation for him just for the heck of it.
