Multiple Track Circuit Failures / Service Suspension
🔴 Brookland - Fort Totten
As of 2:30PM Metro has effectively suspended 🔴 service at Ft. Totten & Brookland due to two track circuit malfunctions.
🔴 Glenmont - Takoma
🔴 Shady Grove - R I Ave
Multiple Track Circuit Failures / Service Suspension
🔴 Brookland - Fort Totten
As of 2:30PM Metro has effectively suspended 🔴 service at Ft. Totten & Brookland due to two track circuit malfunctions.
🔴 Glenmont - Takoma
🔴 Shady Grove - R I Ave
Red Line: Trains are single tracking between Fort Totten and Silver Spring because of a signal problem outside Takoma. Expect delays in both directions.

FINAL: Blue Line: Normal service has resumed outside Arlington Cemetery.
UPDATE: Blue Line: Trains are no longer single tracking. Residual delays continue in both directions following an earlier track obstruction outside Arlington Cemetery.

Following a train inspection that was reported clear, Metro’s Emergency Response Team inspected the area, identified and removed a rail fastener/bolt just before 11:00PM that experienced stray current and showed signs of arcing.
