the cheap detective: I wish this was funnier, as it's it only has a handful of good bits. pacing is a bit shit. good acting from everyone. I hate the troupe of man ends up with a bunch of women but it's peter falk I get it. (totally unrelated pic)

wild at heart (1990): good movie, thought it would end differently as an analog for cycle of abuse. but it seems to vere into breaking it. I adore the main characters romance and it was neat to see what majima was based on. (Hollywood doesn't understand a north carolinian accent tho.)

twin peaks the return: ah it really purposefully sours the original series and I'm conflicted about that. as is though I did enjoy it even just visually. and just getting the old cast back made me emotional. lynch is really good at writing stories on misogynistic trauma.

the menu: didn't expect it to be funny. always love a movie that tackles capitalism. and deeper that it corrupts you as a person thus ruins your art and life endeavors leaving you soulless. also Ralph Fiennes had the saddest wettest eyes I've ever seen in a movie.
