8/n so yes, the motion to discuss failed because it didn't reach the 2/3 threshold (hi Robert!?), but when you have votes this close (23-23 and then 23-25), the issue is far from 'settled'. what is @isanet.bsky.social going to do to recognise the strength of feeling on this issue?

6/n if BDS motions are precluded by antiboycott laws in US states, this is another illustration of how the leading IR professional association in the world is hamstrung from becoming truly international by its location (see also ISA's terrifying, if well-intentioned, msg about how to deal with ICE)
