What do you think Tales of Berseria... is about? cause I have no idea, if you think it said anything about slave owners being justified.

I would not go that far. I would say anything coming off that way is rather more incompetence than malice. I think they just messed up really badly in the second half and it needed another editing pass. I don't believe they actually meant it to come off as pro slavery, it was just bad writing

Reading the work of a problematic author is a lot easier when they've been dead for over 50 years and not actively using their fame and wealth to dehumanize a group of people.
I really don't see a moral line here, the issue isn't being problematic when they wrote it, it's their current actions
