And now, a culture clash moment: I was completely floored when I found out english speakers call agua de jamaica "hibiscus tea".

Because yeah, it's actually kind of a tea. And I never put two and two together until I was an adult. I am not the brightest bulb in the drawer, let me inform you.

Very welcome! :3

Hi, hello! You are pretty!

Coal tar based shampoos could also help. Of course all scalps are different in terms of ph, so what worked for me might not work for you.

I used to abuse my hair a lot with salon hairdos during my 30s, so I kinda osmosed some hair care knowledge. :P

I dunno if this could help, but back when my hair was more oily and I wanted to get it under control, I'd use anti-dandruff shampoo and it'd curb the oil somewhat. I think the active chemical causes the scalp to cut down on oil production or some such thing.

Oh gosh, yeah, the argan oil wouldn't be much help there, unfortunately. I have dry, frizzy hair that gobbles up that oil very fast. I used to have more oily hair, but age took that from me; after age 35, it just wasn't the same; it exploded full into 80s glam rock huge and refused to go back down.

I mean, it's not easy, but give it time, it'll come to you. Eventually, you wake up very motivated one day and you do it and it sticks. And then it just keeps happening more days than it doesn't. Or at least that's how it happened to me.

That is true. Some people are just addicted to hating others for having the temerity to be different. :(

Well, when I have to go out and it's in my schedule, I spend some time taming it. It does take a while because I have really long hair, but mum taught me the magic trick of applying argan oil and that helps.

If I have to go out in a hurry, I tie it in a bun, shove in in my undercap and pray a lot.

I mean, I try to look neat as much as possible, but there are days (especially in these year end days where everything is p much dead) when Gremlin Samira manifests for days on end. :P

Yeah, I have a lot of trouble falling asleep. The mind doctors all agree I have PTSD because I saw my mum die in extreme anguish right before my eyes.

I don't know what that means, but I do know I sometimes relive the whole episode in dreams and that's...not very pleasant.

No, I absolutely did not have a Dr. Frankenstein maniacal laughter moment, yelling "It's alive! It's aliiiiiive!" after I installed steam OS on it and it actually ran and I didn't destroy it. Not at all. Not me. Never, ever. That is not in my character at all. Preposterous! Ludicrous, even!

I had a friend in school who was also autistic and she would always joke that us folks with autism came in 3 flavors: The cars kid, the airplanes kid and the trains kid. She was the planes kid. We were always looking to add a trains kid to our friend group, but we could never find one.

Perhaps it is now pertinent to mention that my "autistic person hyperfixation" has always been "cool cars". I like cool cars. Always did. Always will. You *do not* want to get me going about Ayrton Senna's McLaren car or Lancia's WRC cars; I will talk your ear off about it.
