Spent the morning at the first KCMO Public Budget Hearing at the Gregg/Klice Community Center. Popular topics today included transit funding, arts, vision zero, and sidewalks. Transit fund was by far the most common topic!

This will be the first bond that the school district has passed since 1967. I cannot emphasize enough how important this is for the future of our city! Vote YES for KC kids!

I am the daughter of undocumented immigrants and grew up always moving, from motel rooms to Mexico to LA to Chicago… and this is my first time ever having a home. I chose this home.
