You can see he has his hand on the gun while the brake lights are still on and he begins to draw it before she starts moving forward. He had to make the decision before that. He also had to switch which hand was holding his phone cuz he was holding it with his right hand as he circled the car.

Yes. If it was fired from a position where Ross was actually in danger that angle would not have hit Good. The windshield shot could have only hit her if fired from the side, which it was. And the other 2 shots have absolutely no self-defense argument.

it was less to create new evidence and more to debunk the claims MAGA is making that the "bodycam" footage proves that he was hit.

They didn't even give her a chance to comply. The guy in black was reaching through her window trying to drag her out of her car within a second of getting out of the car.

I'm honestly shocked they leaked this at all. I expected them to try to scrub the video from that phone & fight as hard as they could to not turn the phone over to any other investigative force unless it somehow happened to make them look good but apparently they think this does make them look good

I think they were counting on the "Woah!" and the camera flying up being interpreted as him being struck by the car and that's certainly how MAGA is taking it. But you can see clearly in the synced footage that he was already out of the way at that point.

He was already drawing his gun before she shifted out of reverse. He's already clear of the front of the car when he fumbles his phone. The sound is him shooting his gun.

What are you on about? They match up fine and show that Johnathan Ross wasn't hit. They put up a video thinking it clears them when it doesn't.

Right. For a self-defense argument to fly you have to be trying to stop a threat. Even if she did hit him, the threat was over by the time he shot. Revenge for almost causing harm isn't self-defense.
