I am from Wales. When I hear a Welsh person speaking English, I can usually (not always) tell within seconds whether that person is a Welsh speaker by the way they pronounce certain sounds. Is it the same in Ireland? Good luck with your practice: Gaeilge is a rare and beautiful language.
