My MIL, with various issues including COPD, was transferred to a nursing home for this reason, and within days the AC broke. We were in the middle of a heat wave, and they were using fans. She developed pneumonia.

As a human being inhabiting this planet, that’s heartening. Maybe the rest of the world can figure out how to keep this planet inhabitable.

This is a case study describing horizontal transmission of Hepatitis B in a daycare. It turned out a child with some biting/scratching behavior was a carrier of Hepatitis B 😬
Note the study is from 1989! Such cases declined a great deal after ACIP recommended perinatal Hep B vaccination in 1991
