another possibility is that sword is a descendant of a long line of demigods, in which the demigod-ish features got wiped from the bloodline every few generations or so and that's why sword has none of those traits. either way i'm convinced venom is his uncle

HERE'S A THEORY: a mortal and one of the sfoth decided to toss their gears into a fountain together, and the result (sword) ended up looking more like the mortal?? maybe??
