there's something really fun about a big monster from outside of regular society having a small person that is Theirs, so I dig it, both for being a main suitor we're supposed to cheer on and for just one character out of a list of wacky options

As for stakes, could go for the classic route of "this candidate makes the most sense based on social and political classes, but his heart is with a less optimal option", especially if there's nothing like a war with a particular people/family they're trying to smooth over

I'm thinking in either case, since elves are generally long lived and this is a marriage with political ties as well, all the suitors have to do things to prove they are a worthy candidate and earn their spot

right, so, when seeing "another hot guy" my first thought was "why only one?" This course either because the king/future king is legitimately allowed multiple spouses for Reasons (TM) or because multiple folks are trying to jump in that marriage alliance and also his crotch

See, this is why I hate that "AI" has become the tech buzzword to slap on everything, because machine learning has been used for making models off of data sets for ages, but those are trained with a purpose instead of just dumping all of reddit in a blender and saying the machine thinks now
