Every year, California's largest sheep and fiber festival, Lambtown, takes place in Dixon, CA. On the second day of Lambtown, teams of eight compete in a "sheep to shawl" competition, where the teams must start the day with un-spun wool and end the day with a 72" woven shawl. Teams may "warp" a loom ahead of time (where you thread the loom with its foundation of parallel threads), but on the day of competition they must spin their wool into yarn and weave it into a complete shawl. This year competition was stiff, and very very close, and the winning team finished their shawl with two and a half minutes to spare. Photo from tumblr post. Probably quite rightly, I'm sure it was full of shit and likely tasted horrible.

UK vs German
The UK cover of Terry Pratchett's book Snuff. It is beautifully illustrated by Paul Kidby and shows the character Sam Vimes at the steering wheel of a river boat. There is a storm and a wall of water coming down the river behind the boat. Vimes is lit by an oil lamp and smoking a cigar, he looks tense. There are broken tree branches being thrown about by the water and a flock of panicking chickens flapping about. The German cover of Terry Pratchett's book Snuff. It is illustrated by an early computer generated program, very likely one possessed by a demon. A demon who cannot draw. There is a character presumably meant to be Sam Vimes at a ship's wheel. The computer generation looks like the it's from the mid to late 1990s. The hands are appalling. The character looks constipated.

Actually completely agree with this. Also, the only social platform kids should be allowed on is one you need to learn at least basic html in order to use fully.
