If I'm ever again in a position to vote for a Democrat other than you for office, this capitulation ensures that I will do so.

What the hell, Tim? This is so disappointing of you. You know the GOP is never going to agree to anything AFTER you give up the only leverage that Dems had.

What is wrong with you? Why would you do this?

(2) And if you disagree about their effectiveness, then argue that point instead of just telling people they can't complain to the leadership and they are stupid for doing so.

(1) You've apparently decided not to continue this, so I'll end by saying that I get you want party unity (so do I), and support for leaders is a part of that. But if those leaders are not being effective, people have every right to complain to them. To say otherwise is very autocratic of you.

Jeffries is a party leader.

It's fine if you disagree with expressing frustration via social media posts. The point, as it has been from the beginning, is that people can both condemn tyranny while complaining about their party leaders' response to it. You get that, right?

Criticizing them for not taking action, by adding your voice to a chorus of others asking the same, in the hope that they might see and do something. You may disagree with it and call it a "talking point", but that is not really a counterargument. Nor does this preclude contacting via other methods.
September 25, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Likely different than yours here. But that's beside the point, which is that people are free to criticize their leaders if they think those leaders are not reacting strongly enough to an emergency.
September 25, 2025 at 3:18 PM
No, they can. Especially if the party leaders seem not be reacting strongly or appropriately enough to the consequential moment.
September 25, 2025 at 6:53 AM
I mean , people can root against tyranny while they also complain of lack of leadership in their own party. Those two things aren't mutually exclusive.
