Ceremonial Bliss

Here is your Tuesday Tiger Beetle, I think a Western TB, Cicindela oregona. Tiger beetles pursue prey in a start-stop way, because they run so fast that they must pause to let their visual processing catch up with their feet - literal blinding speed. (Forward-facing antennae also help.) 🐙🌿 #insects

Love these little F-14 fighters (Limochores mystic, the long dash skipper, feasting on joe pye)
