Boycott them for as long as you can. Some, even forever.

Listening to Palestinian Silences: On Fady Joudah’s [. . .]
What future will we look back from, onto the current moment? An unprecedented catastrophe, when Israel’s military has killed and buried tens of thousands of Palestinians alive in a matter of months…

If being cisgender is so natural, why do you have to maintain its stronghold on the culture and the world? If it’s so natural, why must it constantly be enforced? Why are you so threatened?

Too many people hate on Trump as a performance. Hating on that menace is easy but I want to see y’all actually show up for trans people and undocumented folks. Do the things that don’t get you clout on social media.

In a final burst of violence, Nentayahu and his fascist stooges at the helm of Israel have decided to sabotage the ceasefire agreement.
It's time for this government to actually have some courage! Cut diplomatic relations, Arms Embargo, impose economic sanctions and prosecute all genocidaires!

if those most affected by a crisis are celebrating some victory, join their joy, or witness it. a journey is made of steps, a change is made by moments, a worldview transformation must feel compelling, feel possible. a breath for joy, a second to touch the grief, don’t take it - join, or witness.

Credit to Lila Shapiro for doing such an excellent job with this piece. It's empathetic but unflinching, covers so much ground, cuts off any "but wasn't it kink" contrarian defences, and paints a detailed portrait of power, arrogance, and how a "geek favourite" wielded such control.

I finished reading The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion last week and what a powerful account of grief— I’ve navigated so much grief recently, and her words kept feeling like they crawled under my skin and reached into wherever grief lives in body (still tbd)
