yeah it should be noting the version as v0.18.4.2 from master regardless not sure why that was left out too

usually you shouldn't build or install from the master branch anyway, to get the latest stable release you checkout to the desired version tag, i.e. `git checkout v0.18.4.2` like tracked on the github page github.com/monero-proje...

Every media outlet is sharing the same headline, but qbic never reached 51%, they lie about it on their website, while they get max 30% so the same size as a big pool which doesn't successfully mean performing a 51% attack otherwise they would be mining every block now

>Don't know whether +51% control of the hash rate was achieved with malicious intent

it wasn't achieved at all

if you can "delete your history" beforehand, then before you get caught you can also send your current monero balance to a new wallet and delete all your previous keys, then it'd be as easy to find your previous history as finding satoshi's bitcoin seeds, they'd have to brute force it

when given the choice Monero always overtakes any payment method as a preference for years now. Even with increased activity fees adjust thanks to dynamic block sizes. Lightning works only in illusion since most LN users use custodial wallets or connect directly to large centralized liquidity hubs
