This day & age still have to remind men not to be aggressive towards women... what a world we live in... I once saw a woman getting punched by her fella in Tallaght, I pulled him off her and she bottled me and told me to get away from her fella. Spent the night in A&E - don't know how they're doing.

Couldn't enforce it before, how is it going to happen now? This is just a small step in what needs to be done. Sure policing might ramp up for 4-6 weeks, but driving behaviour won't change, not enough deterants, repeat offenders should have to resit driving lessons and get increased fines/points

Government policy of Male/Female makes sense, streamlines processing and things like that and keeps it simple. It's biological, I can never be female, I don't have the organs, same goes for female wanting to be male.
Outside of Government policies you can call yourself whatever gender you want.

20% of the budget on cycling/walking??? Are you having a laugh. I walked the streets and cycled to City Centre in dense traffic for years, way before bus lanes/cycle lanes and never an issue.
How about using the budget to educate cyclists (basics license for bike/escooter €5 online course/year).
