My guy, coming to my defense regarding the server discord hostility.

But the mods had already locked my thread (understandably, since I reported ninja-looter names without screenshots).

Sigh.

I will share his words here, because I'm grateful that 1 person, at least, will speak up with me.
A screenshot which reads: Just so you're aware, I thought I'd inform you that the person who posted this has quit the game. And it wasn't the daily ninja looting, nor the blatant racism, sexism or bigotry of group members, nor the people who thought it was funny to make threats of sexual violence, but it was you, as a community, that broke the camels back. When people come to this Discord for loot issues, they are in a vulnerable position. They feel like they have lost something. They feel attacked. Cheated. They come for support as much as anything else, and if you cannot lead with sympathy, you shouldn't be doing anything of this sort. Because right now all you're doing is creating a trap for people who need help. This is what happened with the player above. In a time of need, she came to *you* for help, after 3 days of self-centered, problematic players. She finally thought she had somewhere to turn to deal with these issues, and you people kicked her while she was down. As the primary person I played with, needless to say, I'm out too. (She played mostly healers, just for reference. All my characters are tanks.) This Discord is 100% as toxic as the people it is supposed to combat. Do better. Lead by example. If you want people to stop being toxic, it has to start here. At least then you can say you haven't caused more damage.

Just started a new save in Abandoned Mode. While mining some rocks/ferrite, one of the rocks *gets up*, grows *legs*, and starts slowly skittering away from me.

You can play the game on normal mode, or customize settings so some things (or everything) can be free/non-hostile. Or play in Permadeath mode to up the stakes of each activity.

The community is awesome and helpful, in-game and elsewhere.

And it's just... beautiful.

One day, someone in the multiplayer zone randomly gave me something called a "void egg," which took me on a multi-day adventure.

And every 1-2 months, there is a new Expedition released — a series of unique quests/goals to complete for cool rewards (and just for fun).
