Suddenly awake wondering why we have to do so much emotional heavy lifting to see that our son has a relationship with his grandparents when it really shouldn’t be this difficult. I’m angry about it. & yes I do wonder if it’s bc he has a disability and they’ve given up on neuro atypical connection.

13 months ago I began the journey into building and district leadership. Going back to school was the best thing for my soul. It was validating and eye opening and I met some pretty amazing people. I am not the same person I was a year ago as a result and that is exactly what I was looking for.

Meeting autistic kids where they are is the best kind of connection you could ever create with them. The best part about autistic kids is being around them is so humbling because they do not exist to fulfill your expectations. They exist to ya know BE THEMSELVES.
