But hey, that's the fun of making anything deliberately obtuse and open to interpretation. Sometimes it doesn't land as intended but it engages nonetheless.

That's as valid as any other interpretation. 🤷♀️ the bit at the end where the whole cast literally and figuratively beat a dead "horse" puts a damper on my ability to take a purely positive interpretation of anything depicted prior but glad you were able to.

Then I got to new game plus and saw the whole criticism is a sin thing and figured the additions came from wanting to "correct" the public perception/memes. Personally I felt it started to detract from Cyrille and Krow but that's just personal taste I guess.

I suppose the issue is I don't personally see spite or anything with axes as a negative. It's still energy, passion even. The additions to the main game where practically duct taped on and I could see the seams, and appreciate the passion that went into expanding the work.

So yeah, alot of ppl will be coming into this game with similar exposure, see the walls about criticism and occams razor will kick in assuming that's why🤷♀️ Wrong or not that's the killer part of death of the author unfortunately.

My primary exposure to yiik was the game dev's complaining that players didn't get his vision. It's fair to assume I'm not the only one who's pop culture exposure was that either-
