Roses are red, Violets are blue, let’s abolish ICE and police unions too! 🔥 Angelenos know how to take care of each other, just like we have been since June, just like we will continue to until ICE is abolished.

Today, we honor the radical Dr. King. The one who named greed, capitalism, and imperialism as barriers to justice. His legacy calls us not just to remember, but to organize for a more just future. Join us in building it together.

It’s been one year since the devastating fires that destroyed the Pacific Palisades and Altadena. We must grieve the lives lost and the neighborhoods that were torn apart.

What an inspiration to be with Angelenos who not only dream of our city, but are ready to build it together. This movement isn’t from one moment alone, it’s built on Angelenos who’ve tirelessly created and organized solutions for future. Now we’re set to bring community-led solutions to City Hall.

This is a time to reflect on what binds us together and our hope for a better year ahead. As a city, we are strongest when we lead with care, dignity, and compassion, and when we make sure every family has the opportunity to feel supported and seen. Happy holidays everyone!

Celebrating the holidays with families in Baldwin Hills at Jim Gilliam Park! Over 100 neighbors came together for games, food, music, haircuts, braids, & manicures! Grateful for the organizers, staff, and volunteers who made this day of care and joy possible. This is community.

Police shootings in LA are up 70%, the highest since 2015, despite falling crime. City Hall responded with a bigger LAPD budget after unauthorized hiring and $400M lost to misconduct. More police don’t mean safer streets. Accountability does. LA deserves better.

Our teachers should not be living in poverty. Our schools should not be under-resourced. Today, I was proud to stand with LAUSD workers and support a possible strike vote. Let’s make sure our LAUSD workers get the strong contract they deserve!
