Kinda? Federated can be hard to sustain since most apps tend to put up walls as they grow. I do expect to make it work with my other productivity app, but sure beyond that.

I used Cursor to set up an MCP server to let Claud Desktop talk to Obsidian and Things. I set up a few projects in Claude, each with project-specific rules. We use Obsidian as a Memory System for rules and Things for todo-list widgets. Eventually, I’ll just make all of this a single app.

Probably the #1 request since auto-layout was introduced ✅

It works out of the gate for variable-width + fill layouts. For everything else, you can use nested frames to apply behaviors (variable-height, alignment, etc).

Dunno. I find design systems can be a clever way to sneak in quality in smaller portions when you’re not allowed to do it all at once.

Unfortunately, that can only be done one field at a time — we can't use multi-edit.

I swear that we used to be able to start with a variable and disconnect it in the properties panel. This changed a few months ago...

It's better to start with regular text and add variable-based text as needed. If the component starts with variable-based text, we can never choose to use regular text. Figma currently doesn't allow it.

Unless you have a guaranteed roadmap to do each phase, don't bother. Sometimes alpha is all you need. Other times final turns into "final final 2 this one! (October 2024)".

Just make sure your latest version works and is bug free. Iterate for what is needed, not for semantics.
