I enjoyed a lengthy morning walk which took me to a village in Oxfordshire where they filmed the village scenes for the TV series (and forthcoming film) ‘Downton Abbey’. The tourists were arriving on their coach tours on a perfect autumnal day for their visit.

The anger of Beatles fans at the forthcoming release of 'Anthology 4' solely available in the four-volume collection has caused a rethink at Apple/EMI. It will now be released on its own as a double CD set for £25 - maybe cheaper by the release date of 21st November. The right decision!

Twelve years ago today, I was told I had cancer.
It felt like the end, but thanks to a brilliant medical team, I'm still here.
It seems appropriate today to urge you to engage with those going through the drama of serious illness. Your support will make a huge difference to their recovery.
