They actually still played this song on German radio when I was in college there in 1994-1995 (albeit only on Oma’s stations such as Bayern 1).

I can’t say I like it, but I do recall finding it pleasant when I’d hear it on WQXI Atlanta as a preschooler / kindergartener in the late 70s. It now gets wrapped in—perhaps unfairly—with the creepy “Clair” genre.

I’m surprised Burlington is a skip. It’s a decent sized city. Is its per-capita boardings low or is it simply a small city by express standards?

WCOM-LP is probably the only radio station in the U.S. whose legal city of license (Chapel Hill) is larger than its actual community of interest (Carrboro).

Add my vote for Mary Mac’s. My dad took me to Lunch there in the 80s. My uncle ate lunch three in the 60s. And it’s actually better today!
