LUFC, LUWFC, alternative music, pro cycling. Las viudas de Bielsa
Fortunately we play them 2 days after they play in euro conference and 3 before they face arsenal in quarter finals of cup

Triple captain time on fantasy football 😂
November 27, 2025 at 7:59 PM
He'll likely replace as like for like as he can. Think Tanaka and Gruev will be starters
November 27, 2025 at 7:54 PM
I don't think he is tbh. I know you want to think the worst of him, but he really is a decent guy. Not a good enough manager for the epl, but that is a different point.
November 27, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Definitely, Bielsa was something else and brilliant. In defence of Farke, you do need some quality in the epl. Notwithstanding better tactics and flexibility are needed to overcome those deficiencies at least to some point. We have regressed in that respect this season.
November 27, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I agree, 100%, but the point is those tactics are only fulfilled by that level of fitness. The top athletes in the team coped, others not so well. A different tactician may have solutions that were not as demanding, physically
November 27, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Undoubtedly they were lifted levels above where they were as players, but I'm speaking about their physical decline, which started in Bielsa's final season.
November 27, 2025 at 12:41 PM
We didn't. It was 1-2.
November 27, 2025 at 6:35 AM
There are always levels in the game, perhaps if we were a decent mid table outfit or at top the of championship he'd get some game time. Not so easy in a relegation scrap.
November 27, 2025 at 6:34 AM
Feel similar. Bamford and Cooper other players that were unable to get that level of fitness and physicality post Bielsa. It must have been hard!
November 27, 2025 at 6:29 AM
Quite, a different issue that gets the heart of whether Farke is the right man for this particular job of survival.
November 26, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Part of the same issue, quality and strength in depth lacking
November 26, 2025 at 3:05 PM
I was using those as an example of where Farke said we were short of attacking players. We didn't land key positions in August, unfortunately
November 26, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Maybe, but he is not proven in the epl... whereas for example Wilson from Fulham would definitely improve our team.
November 26, 2025 at 1:40 PM
Made it clear we were short of attacking players. Failed to land at least one of Bounanotte, El Khannouss, Wilson at the end of the window
November 26, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Cos we failed to bring in quality in positions he wanted. At the start of the season Farke said 'we are not ready for te EPL offensively' unfortunately that didn't improve enough. Missed pivotal signings at the end of the window. Notwithstanding, his team selection, in-game management has been poor.
November 26, 2025 at 10:39 AM
These are exceptions and both coverted and were developing players. We need epl ready players for the here and now.
November 26, 2025 at 10:32 AM
That is our issue, we need to shop at the higher level, we need epl ready experience
November 26, 2025 at 10:29 AM
He'd be interesting and may be a great choice, but do we need some real epl experience? We lack that
November 26, 2025 at 6:57 AM
I agree, injuries have been a problem too, but Farke hasn't helped himself and we look like a manager change will be required to give this squad a chance. Jan window alone may noy yield enough.
November 26, 2025 at 6:54 AM
I do like him, but as we have seen. The difference between the championship and epl suggests we need to shop at a higher level.
November 26, 2025 at 6:52 AM
Longstaff is decent, we needed more of that. With Perri we'd have expected better performances than we have got so far. The 2 other promoted teams landed better and far cheaper options. The team lacks the key differences maker
November 26, 2025 at 6:50 AM
Or do what Sunderland did and pay for a player like Xhaka and get an excellent, ridiculously cheap keeper, who is bound for a champions league team. We are definitely short on quality, at whatever price point.
November 25, 2025 at 7:19 PM
Agree. Look at the impact Xhaka has had at Sunderland. They are probably going to start to struggle, but maybe they have done enough to build on and survive.
November 25, 2025 at 7:15 PM
As a specialist for that league, Farke was the stand out and proved it again. We know his short comings, but as a Championship Manager he worked. Record breaking season in almost every aspect. There's no question that he delivered last season. The issue now needs a different response.
