I've consistently had an easier time with Bluetooth devices (*especially* game controllers and audio devices) on Linux than windows in the year 2024 💀

Definitely recommend at least trying it in a VM! And checking out the Wayland version of plasma if you haven't already. Especially if you're on a laptop. Smooth pinch to zoom and desktop gestures 🤤 if you use chrome there's a flag to set for swipe back gesture btw

Installing vanilla arch is not too hard if you follow the wiki! But it is time consuming, and can be really frustrating (especially with Nvidia cards)

Endeavour with Plasma on Wayland is very nice and very usable with minimal customization required, highly recommend. Fedora is also really nice if you're going for stability though. Personally the thing that drove me back from pop was my love, the AUR.

the meta is ever evolving, esp w the dlc weapons, and my build is... It's not cheesy or spammy, it's just an absurd full fth + vig glass cannon that can 2 shot basically anyone. Probably less annoying than my arcane + vig occult hookclaws build from before this tho lol

Me using hyprland-git specifically, which somehow breaks every time I update my system. Brings me back to spending an afternoon when I was first setting it up dedicated solely to making the clipboard/basic copy-paste work (it still only kind of works)

Depends on the distro I think? If a Manjaro user says it I grimace a little bc Manjaro is, charitably put, a nightmare shitshow of a distro. But archiso and endeavour are basically just arch for people who have other things to do besides set up arch from scratch, so I think that's valid.

after distrohopping again I've settled on EndeavourOS and am rly happy with it. That said, as an Arch user at heart, I still have to make life difficult for myself. So naturally I use Wayland on an Nvidia Optimus laptop.
