The Commodore 64 has worse graphics than the NES, but the chiptunes are orders of magnitude better. Only 95% of games make you pick between either sound effects *or* music. And many don't have any music at all after the initial loading screen. One of the cruelest gaming ironies.

Console-centric retrogaming Youtubers are so annoying. Yeah sure man Herzog Zwei for Sega Genesis was definitely the first RTS game.

Never got into these guys as heavily as Yes, Crimson, etc. so I only heard this once ~15 years ago. Listening again tonight, and... I'm blown away. Reading along with the story made a huge difference and even though I didn't understand much of it I loved every minute. New fave.

I fucking love John Marshall's drumming dude. When I was younger I thought it was too clean and precise but I'm a better listener now and realize that his imagination behind the kit is just as strong as some of the more abstract guys, just in a more accessible package.
