A little update! The first bobbin is done. The second is underway. It's taking longer than I meant for it to but I've been busy with other things. I can't wait to see this 2-ply fractal when it's done.

Gorgeous!

I washed half of the fiber over the course of several hours. I was nervous to felt it so I decided to only risk half at a time. Here is a comparison of a washed lock (left) vs unwashed (right). You can see how much lighter the color is once the grease is out!

Here is a picture of her fleece before any type of washing. It was actually really clean for "dirty" wool! The locks are pretty long and soft already, but definitely full of lanolin.
