Be weary of needing a step-down transformer or a new power board replacement going the Japanese machines, otherwise the 100V rated input will be fried.

On the left is my original 1996 PAL-50 only Model 2. On the right is my region unlocked PAL-60 model 1, which still lives under the TV. I've deliberately kept the cd drives and not gone down the fenrir route.
