Two wheel-thrown ceramic mugs. The outsides are black with multicolored red, yellow, and blue stars and confetti shapes, and the handles are also in spiraling confetti shapes. The mug on the left is upright and the handle is red. We can see a little bit of the inside which is pale purple and green and blue. The mug on the right has a blue handle, and is laying on its side so we can see the bottom with my signature on it: a smiling face with "Rachel" spelled out in the shape of the hair, stamped in black against a multicolored background. The mugs are laid out on a pink and white gingham cloth with multicolored star-shaped beads scattered around. Both mugs upright, at a slightly higher angle so we can see more of the inside. The insides are whitish pale green with purple and blue drips. Both mugs with the handles on the left side now so we can see the reversed shape of the confetti swirl. matcha set ✿ laguna nebula blue layered with handmade glaze "chameleon"
bamboo whisk (chasen) on a ceramic whisk stand (chasentate) next to a ceramic tea bowl (chawan). The ceramics are made of a cream-colored clay, and the glaze is pale green dripping into pale blue. the bamboo whisk is in the tea bowl this time, showing the whisk holder without it. There is also a small teacup (yunomi) filled with matcha + soy milk, which is about the same color as the green glaze cup by itself so we can see the detail in the glaze. There is a gradient of green at the top to blue at the bottom, with white crystalline speckles

plum blossom bowl, 2025
Short round ceramic bowl against a white background. It is wider than it is tall. On the outside there are shuǐ-mò or sumi-e styled black plum branches with red flowers painted on with underglaze, against the speckled tan clay body. The inside has grayish glaze on top dripping into maroon in the middle.

strawberry cup.....
Rounded cup/bowl, about as wide as it is tall, and slightly tapered so that it is narrower at the rim than the bottom. The main part is underglazed bright red with white dots for seeds. The foot is shaped like five rounded sepals (two are visible here) and has chartreuse underglaze. It is placed on a setup with blue gingham fabric, fake light pink roses, and toast with jam. Raccoon bowl, 2025

Tide pool, capybara onsen, and frog pond dishes. Ceramic and glass
Circular ceramic dish with the walls made out of marbled tan and brown clay rock shapes. There is one orange and one reddish purple starfish on these rocks. Inside the dish are a red octopus and some white snail shells in blue water, which is made of glass. Ceramic dish with the walls made out of red clay. The glass and glaze inside melted together to make blue, white, and clear rippling shapes in the water. There is a capybara and five yuzu in the water. Another ceramic dish with the walls made out of marbled red and tan clay. There are two green frogs on the rocks, and another frog inside the dish on a lily pad.

Ceramic calico cats made to test clay colors, glazed (front cat) and unglazed (background cat)
Two ceramic calico cat figures. One is closer to the viewer, shown at a 3/4 angle. It is mostly a white/cream clay, with tan and dark brown spots. This one is glazed so it's shiny. The other cat in the back is turned away from the viewer. That one is unglazed so it's matte and the clay that's dark brown on the other cat is red on this one.

Small, barrel-shaped ceramic cup. The outside has an East Asian ink painting style of a tree branch with white flowers done in underglaze, against a specked tan clay background. The foot and inside of the cup are black. Small wavy cloud cup in a squat peanut or hourglass shape. The outside has a Shino glaze that's white where it's thicker and orange where it's thinner. The inside has a mottled brown and green glaze. Small rounded square cup or bowl. The glaze is drippy and speckled with teal, green, and tan areas. The foot is lime green. Small dish or plate. It has been dipped in 4 different glazes, making a design with a white triangle in the center surrounded by purple, blue, and green on each side.

Memphis Group inspired teapot
1984 I mean 2024
Ceramic teapot against an 80s party tablecloth which is white with a black grid and red, yellow, blue, and green geometric shapes.
